Competition Protection Agency (CPA) of Kazakhstan has commenced the drafting of the common law on the purchases other than state purchases , KazTag reports with reference to press service.
“The Agency has commenced the drafting of common law on purchases other than the state purchases, which shall include the general principles of purchases and the authorities of the controlling authority. Currently, the framework of such law is under development”, – CPA reported on Thursday.
The Agency initiated the Competition Development Interdepartmental Commission.
“Such Commission is expected to consider the Agency’s recommendations developed under the results of the analysis of the commodity markets and the monitoring of the legislative acts. Currently, the issue of creation of such Commission is agreed with the state bodies, and the respective statement is drafted”, – the press – services explains.
Additionally, the provisions of the model law on competition are introduced into the anti-monopoly legislation of Kazakhstan. In particular, the law contains the provisions on prevention of violations, expansion of basis for their application as well as the provisions intended for clarification of the authorities of the anti-monopoly body related to application of the provisions of competition law. It means the procedures for information request and provision, the anti-monopoly requirements on the trades, evidence base for investigations are under development.
