In Paris, at the headquarters of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) one held a formal signing ceremony of the Act of Accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan the document was signed by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the French Republic, Nurlan Danenov.

Currently, 63 countries acceded to the convention. Its main aim is to counteract to avoidance and tax evasion at international level. Countries assist each other by exchanging information, carrying out both tax control and levying taxes payable. According to the established procedure, the Convention will enter into force in three months after its approval. This will give Kazakhstan an opportunity to systematize the tax control for Kazakh individuals and entities not only in the country but also abroad.
