Deputies of Majilis (lower chamber) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan have approved the ratification of the agreement on the application of information technology in the exchange of electronic documents in foreign and mutual trade within the common customs territory of the Customs Union, Novosty-Kazakhstan IA reports.
Agreement regulates relations arising in the process of drafting, sending, transmitting, receiving, storage and use of electronic documents by public authorities of the CU Member States, by individuals and legal entities in the application of information technology for exchange of electronic documents in foreign and mutual trade of the Common CU territory.
“If, the laws of each of the parties require that the document is issued in writing, the electronic document issued according to the rules and documentation requirements established by the CU Commission shall be considered as the proper executed document,” the conclusion of the relevant committee states.
