Sales of high-demand state registration license plates are starting from January 2014. This was announced by Vice Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazkhstan Mr. Yerlan Turgumbayev, Auto.Lafa.kz informs.

“Yes, we are planning to sell prestigious license plates and even agreed this project with the Tax committee. I think, till the end of this year all coordination procedures for this draft law must be completed”, – Turgumbayev said.

As you may remember, the price for “fine” license plates was earlier published. Thus, license plates bearing digits 100, 111, 200, 222, 300, 333, 400, 444, 500, 555, 600, 666, 700, 800, 888, 900, 999 one will have to pay around KZT 220 thousand (USD 1,450). License plates with digits 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, 007, 008, 009, 777 will cost around KZT 368 thousand (USD 2,400).

Traffic police representatives noted that publication of this information will help to avoid  the facts of corruption abuse.
