Astana. 2nd October. In 2014 Kazakhstan is going to introduce a number of innovations in the regulation of turnover of alcohol products, including a requirement to make a guarantee payment on import of Russian products, Kazakhstan Today Information Agency informs.
“We are preparing amendments and additions to the Law “Concerning Turnover of Alcohol Products”, which will stipulate issues related to places and norms for selling alcohol. Also, the Russian Federation introduced a guarantee payment in relation to Kazakhstan products which comprised up to EUR 300,000 and was paid by our manufacturers. We expect that the same measures, on a parity basis, are going to be introduced starting from the next year in respect of corresponding RF products”, – ITAR-TASS quotes the speech of Mr. Yerbolat Dosayev, RoK Minister of Economics and Budget Planning at the yesterday’s “round table” held in RoK Mazhilis.
Moreover, as the Minister informed, from the next year it is planned to increase excise rates for strong alcoholic drinks by 100% in relation to the existing ones.
