Microsoft Company has determined a name for the position of CEO. Satya Nadella has been appointed to this position. Before being named CEO, he held a position of executive vice president responsible for the business unit and cloud services of Microsoft.

Mr. Nadella has become the third CEO of Microsoft since foundation of the company — 1975. Before this appointment CEOs of Microsoft were Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer (since 2000 года). Satya Nadella, the Indian – born, has been working for the Company over 20 years- since 1992.

It is reported that a special committee headed by Bill Gates have considered three persons for the position of the CEO of Microsoft in addition to Mr. Nadella.  This position could be held by Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia and Hans Vestberg, head of Ericsson.

As expected, the company’s founder, Bill Gates stepped down as head of the Board of Directors of Microsoft, but he has entered the office of technology advisor. He will spend for Microsoft the third of his free time taking part in the development of new products.
