Next year, rural areas will completely be provided with communication services and internet access, according to information provided by Kuanyshabek Yessekeyev, chairman of Kazakhtelecom JSC   at a traditional briefing of central communications services, as the Business portal Kapital.kz informs
In the opinion of Mr. Yessekeyev, 100% internet access can be ensured for rural areas next year.
However, he noted that, the processof urbanization also has influence on the provision of Kazakh villages with internet connection. According to the company’s information, as of June 1 of the current year, the number of fixed telephone lines in the household and organizations of the RoK has reached 470,000.The number of broadband connections has increased 30% and amounted to 1 million 300 thousand over the past year. Thus, among them, 15% are connected via optical fiber and have access to speeds of 20 Mbit / s to 100 Mbit / s.

In addition, the number of iDNet connections services increased by almost 2 fold for 5 months of this year and is 182 thousand ports.  Currently, the number of ID TV customers is 182 thousand households.
