The economic growth in Kazakhstan may reach 5% in the near future, such a statement was made by Brian Kaplan, Editor-in-chief of “The Banker” – the largest business information resource at the “Increased Funding in Kazakhstan” International Forum in Almaty Zakon.kz informs.

“The economic outlook for Kazakhstan is positive. We consider growth of about 5%, based on the good statistics and the debt to GDP ratio, a small budget deficit. These are figures which the EU countries just dream of. We see that the industry is recovering. Sure, there were some problems, but I think that now we are seeing an improvement of the regulatory framework, a better basis for the development of industries” – B. Kaplan said.

It was also noted at the forum, that in Kazakhstan the growth of direct foreign investment in non-extractive industries from 2005 to 2014 reached its maximum. By the way, just for the last two years of FIID (Forced Industrial Innovative Development) program implementation, USD 4.5 billion were attracted to Kazakhstan.
