In Kazakhstan, the e-commerce turnover amounted to about $ 600 million. This was during the exhibition and conference smart technologies ASTEX- 2014 reported by Askar Zhumagaliyev, a Chairman of the Agency for Communications and Information , the correspondent BNews.kz. informed.

“There are some quite good results for the development of e-government. Currently, Kazakhstan is positioned on the 38 place among 190 countries on the Review of the UN organization. Development of e-participation today Kazakhstan is positioned at 2 and shared second place with Singapore,” he said.

According to Askar Zhumagalieva, there are enough good results for the development of telecommunications infrastructure.

“Despite the relatively good indicators we still need, to work, to achieve new results in the framework of the large program which was signed by the Head of the State,” Askar Zhumagaliyev said.

As the chairman of the Agency noted, today Kazakhstan has created the infrastructure that allows us to provide public services “from the state to the people”.

“We clearly see that the next stage of development is the active promotion of e-commerce services. And in this respect we already have had some results, which – visual -commerce turnover today in Kazakhstan amounted to about $ 600 million, increasing from year to year, and increased  more than two times,” he said.
