Task to provide 1.5 trillion tenge of tax levies on Almaty should be performed – A.Essimov said, IA “Zakon.kz”.

Today we summarized the activities of tax authorities in Almaty for the first quarter of 2014, the press office of the akim of the city informs. According to the 1 quarter, the consolidated budget received 295.2 billion tenge, including in the competence of the tax authorities – 249.2 billion. Growth rate compared to the same period of the last year amounted to 104 % or 9 bln more.

Akim of Almaty, Akhmetzhan Yessimov said that on behalf of the Head of State, Nursultan Nazarbayev one will allocate funds from the National Fund for SME support and lending, for recovery of the banking sector, as well as the implementation of GPFIIR -2.

“Given that the city is the center of business and entrepreneurial activity, a flow of considerable part of these funds in our region is expected. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the reserve. All funds from the National Fund should work in the economy and return to the state in taxes and jobs. The task to ensure 1.5 trillion tenge of tax levies on Almaty should be done”, Akhmetzhan Yessimov said.

Taking into account the specifics of the city’s economy, Akhmetzhan Yessimov focused on improving the quality of tax administration. In particular, one should study the issue of raising additional revenue through a number of measures.

This is identification and registration with the tax authorities of persons who give housing for rent. In addition, an analysis of the tax base and the identification of additional reserves for outdoor advertising sites. Among other measures – strengthening of tax administration of persons engaged in trading in the markets; holding the legalization of employment and payment of fee on migrants from CIS countries and etc.
