Time for installation of POS-terminals for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs is postponed till 1 July 2014.

As is known, the installation of modern payment equipment not only provides the opportunity to entrepreneurs to expand its customer base, but also allows the public to exercise their right to pay through a payment card. Many people have already taken advantage of such a form of payment. In Kazakhstan, cardholders on 1 November of this year amounted to 10.3 million people.
At the same POS-terminals can be combined with a turnover of cash.
– The requirement for the installation and use of POS – terminals are not aiming at the abolition of cash payments carried out in trading operations, performance of works, rendering of services. In connection with that entrepreneurs were not prohibited from sale of goods, works and services for cash as said by Ruslan Dalenov.
As for the cost of the apparatus, so according to the information given by Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, the price of standard POS – terminal today ranges from 50 000 to 98 000 tenge. It is possible that for IE with low-income this price is big. Therefore, to make POS-terminals available, many banks are being installed mobile devices (MPOS- terminal). Such projects launched by the National Bank of Kazakhstan, BTA Bank , Kaspibank, Alliance Bank, Nurbank, Temirbank, HSBC Bank Kazakhstan, Kazkommertsbank, Kazpost and etc. Average price of MPOS- terminal is 7500 – 11 000 tenge.

However, not all representatives of trade and services have to acquire such apparatus. From installation of POS-terminal one exempts entities operating in the trade of agricultural products and aquaculture (fisheries) of own production, as well as through the outrigger counters, mobile shops, stalls, kiosks, containers and in shopping markets, as well as persons being in the field of lack of public telecommunications networks.
