Currently the Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors is involved into the court proceedings as a defendant, a part of Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors – plaintiffs represented mainly by former managers Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors.
The court proceedings are conducted according to the place of location of Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors, in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.
To settle the issue on issuance of CIPA certificates based on results of last sessions, the constructive part of Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors members, consisting of 2/3 acting members, has twice initiated holding the general meeting of Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors in order to introduce amendments into provision on CIPA certification and start its issuance. Opponents of these measures have applied to for holding court proceedings, in order to ensure prohibition of such meetings holding.
Currently court proceedings which were started on 17 July 2013 continue to date in the court of original jurisdiction.
In connection with these court proceedings, Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors had to suspend issuance of certificates such as: “C.P.A.” and “Certified International Professional Accountant.”
This does not mean that participants, who has successfully passed exams and met other requirements necessary to obtain the certificate, will not receive them. That means that the certificates will be issued later after the issue has been settled.
It is probable that the certificate of the firs level “C.P.A.” would change the name, since during the last years the Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors General Meeting has taken decision that the main certification level is “Certified International Professional Accountant” – CIPA.
We as all the participants of CIPA – as those holding the certificates and those who are going to be certified are worry about this situation.
If have a certificate you should thing about how to complete the knowledge improvement course in time and not to violate other requirements and Regulations on membership in the organization you are working for.
If you are waiting for issuance the certificate or have just started the course, you should possess soul in patience- You will obtain it after the court proceeding has been finished.
To pass exams on CIPA certificates, the candidates should apply to only official providers of Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors, the list and contacts of which you may see on the website www.cipaprogram.org.
If you have already passed exams and would like to obtain the certificate, please apply to the professional organization in your country, a member of Eurasian Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors.
