This rule will be applied to the banknotes of 1000 and 2000 Tenge value. Information on expiration of the term of accepting and exchanging the 1000 Tenge banknotes of 1994 and 2000 Tenge banknotes of 1996 was presented by the National Bank as Business Portal Kapital.kz reports.
Since 1 November 2003, Branches of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been performing acceptation and exchange of 1000 Tenge banknotes of 1994 and 2000 Tenge banknotes of 1996 for new applicable banknotes. The exchange is made after confirmation of examination of authenticity.
On 31 October 2013, the deadline expires for the accepting and exchange of these banknotes by the Branches. Starting from 1 November 2013, the branches of the national Bank will not accept the above mentioned banknotes.
As it was known earlier, since 2011, the RoK national bank has been performing stepwise changing of the series of banknotes of the year 2006 “Bayterek” for the new one, which is conventionally called by authors “Казак елi”. A close attention was paid to the protection of the national currency against falsification, when developing a new series.
Besides, one plans that a banknote of 20 000 Tenge will have been issued by the 20th anniversary of the national currency.
