Bishkek. 16 October. Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan are planning to create the Tourist Union, News Agency Kazakhstan Today reports.
The Department of Tourism at the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan, under the project of the development of the Strategy for the sustainable development of tourism corridors Heritage of Silk Road in the city of Alma-Ata, initiated the establishment of the Tourist Union of Central Asia, one said in a statement on the ministry’s website.
According to information of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan, this initiative was supported by Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The parties plan to hold a meeting on this issue in the next year in Kyrgyzstan. Official persons of Kyrgyz Ministry noted that in a global world, in order to increase the competitiveness of tourism, the countries will unite in an alliance.
“Using this way, the tourist alliances were created in South- East Asia, Latin America, the island nation, the Arab region, Europe and other global regions. The reason is two factors: the first one is that the modern traveler requires tours covering several countries, cultures and historical and geographical features; the second one is that the marketing of individual countries is not effective, that is, one country does not look attractive with its small number of tourism products and experiences compared to the entire region, with several countries which looks much more attractive to tourists,” the report says.
