Capital tax authorities launched a new project – “The People’s Control” aimed at identifying unscrupulous taxpayers. 

The Tax Department for Astana launched a project described as “The people’s control” on its website www.astananalog.kz, which is unparalleled in the country. 

“The People’s Control” encourages all residents and businesses of the capital along with the tax employees to take part in revealing the facts of illegal activities of shops, cafes, restaurants, pay offices and bookmakers’ offices and other facilities located near their places of their residence, work, school, and etc. 

Under the project, one has posted listings with the addresses of: objects that have a license for the sale of alcohol products, pay offices and bookmakers which are registered with the tax authorities, Entrepreneurs, who formally suspend the submission of tax reports (they suspended activities on a temporarily) at www.astananalog.kz, the site of the Tax Department.

If an object, which a visitor is interested in, is not available on the site www.astananalog.kz, it means that business activity at this location is illegal (no registration, license for the sale of alcohol products, etc.). If the visitor founds an object of interest as that belonging to the person who suspended submitting of the tax reporting, it means that such a businessman breaks the legislation by carrying out activities in the period of its suspension, thereby evading the payment of taxes.

Every citizen of the capital has the opportunity to inform the tax authorities of Astana of any cases of violation through the website or by calling the phone numbers of the Tax Department for Astana: 77-33-20 and 77-33-21.

The Tax Department invites entrepreneurs, who are honest taxpayers, to take part in this project!

The capital tax authorities are convinced that the implementation of this project will enable to timely detect and suppress the activities of unscrupulous taxpayers by joint efforts and will ensure the development of healthy competition, consumer protection and the additional revenues to the city budget.

In the coming days one will add to these lists on the site the lists of billiard and computer clubs, as well as cash registers, registered with the tax authorities.
