Meeting with representatives of state bodies on amendments to Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.[ separator] On 18 March 201, an Independent Partner of MinTax Group, a lawyer, Yerlan Galiyev participated in a meeting with representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office, Ministry of Justice, the Financial Police to discuss the amendments to Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan which was organized by the Association of the Taxpayers of Kazakhstan.
One discussed amendments to Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan as follows: "A person who voluntarily pays the amount of arrears, accrued interest, amount of fines established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall be exempt from criminal liability under the first part of this article, if his/her actions do not contain elements of another crime."
During the meeting there was an active exchange of views during which Yerlan Galiyev offered to support the initiative of taxpayers, due to necessity of accounting in the criminal law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of all features of the development of tax legislation. Also, it was noted that introduction of amendments to the RoK legislation on Administrative Offences, more specifically to articles 206, 207 , 209, 210 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offences are required.
